Modern fuel injectors are only as good as the voltage driving them. Factory injector voltage fluctuates with battery condition and alternator output, leading to inconsistent injector response, especially under high load, low voltage, or transient conditions.
Our ZZP high voltage injector booster solves this issue by supplying a constant 17.76 volts directly to the injector circuit, independent of current control module voltage. The result is faster injector opening and closing, improved consistency, better idle, and more precise fuel control across standard operating ranges. The booster solves misfires and unstable idle previously caused by installing larger injectors. Needed injector pulse-width at idle is reduced by approximately 20%.
By increasing injector voltage, injector latency (dead time) is reduced. This means less overall injector offset is required, allowing the ECU better control, particularly at idle, during tip-in, and under quick load changes. Faster injector response also improves fueling stability when running larger injectors on less modern PCMs. One of the biggest areas of improvement comes with larger injectors at idle.
PCM tuning is not required, although highly recommended to make the most of your build. If you have a ZZPerformance 1.0 PCM tune currently we will update your file for free. You will typically see approximately 10-20% negative fuel trims compared to no booster.

Fits: 1997-2008 Pontiac Grand Prix, 1998-2004 Buick Regal, 2000-2005 Monte Carlo, 2000-2005 Impala. Should fit most Series II and Series III 3800's, although fuse box wiring may be slightly different.
