Our ZZPerformance Gen 2 Cruze downpipe replaces your restrictive factory downpipe and bolts directly to your stock turbo and stock mid-pipe (or our ZZPerformance mid-pipe). The stock downpipe is a large heavy cast piece with a sharp 128° bend that leaves a lot to be desired from a flow standpoint (see last product photo for comparison against our ZZP downpipe). The catalytic converter included in our downpipe has a specially formulated wash coat to meet the specific requirements of the LE2 engine. During the R&D process we started with our standard 400 cell high flow cat and quickly realized the coating was not up to par for the LE2. Taking a methodical approach watching O2 sensor data and learning about the DFCO tendencies and data of the engine lead us to needing something specific for this engine. We worked with our catalytic converter manufacturer to create a unique wash coat for this vehicle to ensure performance in both flow and emissions standards.
The V-band flange for the LE2 is specific and not a standard size so we CNC machine them in house. Pair this downpipe with our ZZP mid-pipe and ZZP catback to have a healthier sounding, better flowing exhaust on your LE2 Cruze.
